As A Fundraiser

You can have student’s families take pledges to pay as little as 1ȼ for each point a class or grade level earns during the competition. Just look at the math.

  • An average class earns 184 points. If each student collects just 10, 1ȼ pledges, that’s $18.40 per student. (184 points x 10ȼ =$18.40 per student) but the person making the pledge only pays $1.84.
  • Multiply that by 20 students in a classroom, and you’ve earned $368 per class! If you have just four classes in a grade level, that comes to $1,472. Collect pledges for 2ȼ per point, and you’ve doubled it to $2,944 for a single grade level.
  • How about 4 grade levels? That’s $5,888 for1ȼ pledges, and $11,766 for2ȼ pledges!

But what if each class is motivated to earn a record 323 points? That’s $64.60 for one student’s 10, 1ȼ pledges @ 20 students per class = $1,292 per class. Continue the math. $5,168 for for a single grade level and $20,672 for 4 grade levels at just 1ȼ per pledge.

So, the more pledges collected, even at 1ȼ each, the more money each class point is worth. Sweet! And all for a worthy cause – students motivated to learn, have fun, and money for your school’s programs. It’s learn and earn.

If you run more than one event per grade level during the school year, you can challenge the classes to “beat their record” each time.

  • If they don’t improve their class scores by “x” amount/percent, those making pledges have the option of not paying.
  • If they improve by “X” amount/percent, the pledge amount is automatically doubled (or done by option).
  • Have local businesses challenge classes to improve, and offer an award for doing so.

There are so many options. You are limited only by your own creativity.

To-date, the top class has earned 323 points. However, with each event, scores generally go up. And all it costs you is my $22/class fee plus $1/mile one-way travel!

Look at the math for just 1 class!
